You are too tight when ______????????

Recommended Posts

Ok, I can swallow my own spit but Water is making my chest hurt a little. It may be because I tried to eat too much after my last fill though and now I have an irritated stoma. I will be doing liquids for a few days...

hmm, I think that is diff. for everyone. For me.. I agree with the first response.. I like being tight, its the only way I lose. But you need to be able to get the nutrition you need.

I agree with your comment about being tight is the only way to lose, as there is no point if you can still eat the kinds of foods we ate pre op. I can eat any sloppy foods with sauces or gravey that is enough for me, but im tight enough to keep me off bread stuff like pizza and take aways so im happy. It all depends on how much restriction each individual will be happy with and how far you want to go.

Well, this morning I am just sipping hot Water with a capful of aloe concentrate. It is just gurgling its way down. I am thinking about trying some yogurt in a little while.

You fall into 'soft food syndrome' because you can't/won't eat hard Proteins as recommended by the manufacturer of the band. Then, you tend to claim you aren't losing, but you can't eat... then you eat more soft foods, then you claim you aren't losing because you can't eat.... then.... then... lol.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
