I had ordered a pair of jeans online before surgery in my usual size from Old Navy. Tried them on when I got them and they were way too small - seems that I should have read the reviews because everyone said they were too small and to order a size or two up. Never got around returning them. Tried them on today and not only do they fit, they're even a little loose! I couldn't even get them all the way up before!

Today is exactly 4 weeks since my surgery. I've been beyond miserable. I've already gone through a stall once. I've lost 19 lbs. But it's the little things like this that make me feel like there's hope! I'm starting to not hate my sleeve!

Whoo hoo!! That's great...... Ouch, this means that you're gonna need new clothes for court soon. But I bet that's a problem you'll be just too happy to have.

Good Stuff! You will find out that when you stall you lose the most inches!! It's a great feeling when you get into a smaller size and even better feeling when it's loose!!! YAY!

Thanks all! And yes, OTR, I'll need new suits, but I'd rather wait until I can get them someplace other than the plus section! :)

Don't you just LOVE the feeling of needing a smaller size. It is sooooo great & I'm sure you feel wonderful (I'm excited to wear some other things I found in the closet still with the tags on).

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
