I started my full liquids today. They told me that an oz of Fluid should last 15 mins to teach me how to sip instead of gulp. How long will i have to drink like this? i feel like i could drink more in 15 mins than an oz. I have had no nausea or vomiting. Any advice or info is appreciated!

I have been able to drink more than an ounce every 15 minutes. My doctor said that I should take sips and as I feel appropriate I can drink. I usually am able to drink a full pint of Water in 45 minutes. Granted I don't drink for a while after, but I am able to do it with no negative feelings at all. I started full fluids today too. :) good luck!

Omg me either. I never thought I would be so happy to have anything but broth and Isopure. :)

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
