Sunta NSV's

Recommended Posts

I thought I'd post my NSV's here since I've been having so many of them lately.

1. Clothes getting so baggy I have to get new ones (four sizes down on top and two sizes down on bottom)

2. I fit into chairs with arms!!!

3. I fit into chairs in the movie theater without spilling into the seat next to me.

4. I can walk all around and not get tired.

5. I can clean my house, do my dishes, bend over to scrub the tub, and vacuum, and wish I had more time to keep working instead of collapsing into a sweaty exahusted heap.

6. The person in my life reaalllly likes my weight loss (wink).

7. My rings are loose.

8. When I lay on my back, my neck fat is not choking me any more!

9. I can cross my legs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

10. I am now under the weight limit for treadmills, memory foam mattresses, epidurals, and many other things (that I don't use, but still....)

I think that's it for now. And the "SV" is 50 pounds down.

Sunta, that's GREAT! Keep your list going as they pile up, ok?

BTW, what's the weight limit on an epidural? I didn't know there was one!

Becky, those are wonderful NSV's, and you are having so many of them, how exciting! I think the NSV's are just as great as the SV's.

Congrats Sunta! It's so important to keep track of your NSVs because they tell the real story of your journey!

I"m sure it's all very nice to be able to say "I've lost 50 pounds" but your NSV list shows what it really means to have lost that weight.

Congrats and well done!

Hi everyone, thanks for the nice words! It really means alot. One of these days I will figure out how to post a picture or two.

For those who asked about the weight limit on epidurals, it's the same for epidurals, treadmills (that you buy in the store; I don't know about gym treadmills), and memory foam mattresses:

250 lbs.

I remember when I thought I was going to have a baby (before I found out about my husband's infertility) and I was horrified to learn of this weight limit. But now I can happily say I am under that (even if I don't need the epidural!)

Take care everyone!

Becky

Congrats on doing so well. I love NSV's. They make transitioning from big to small a lot easier.

How are fills coming? I've had two and would like to avoid another until I have lost at least 10 more pounds. (I hate the transition). Not to mention--I get stuck fairly often--and yet sometimes I can eat anything. Guess stress is my tightener.

Hi Sunta,

Congrats.

Hi have also lost 50 pounds and experienced the same list of NSVs. To those I add:

- Sitting in the car with seatbelt on and "searching" for my belly...

- Walking at the track and realizing that my thights do not "rub together" anymore. Wouah!!!

Ciao... for now.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
