I am officially 6 days post-op and weighed myself for the first time since surgery this morning. I really wanted to wait until I lost most of the swelling. I was in a lot of pain and I didn't want to add depression if I hadn't lost anything yet.

Well, I have lost 15 pounds in 6 days! I cannot express how excited I am. I have had a rough few days, but I am feeling so encouraged and ready to take on the world! I am so thankful that there is a procedure like the sleeve that can give me my life back!

Praise God!

Grats to you girl.. We share the same surgery date :) I weigh every morning when I wake up and I love it. I have gone from 301 - 288 since July 18th.

How are you feeling physically ? I am doing very well getting my Water down and I drink nectar Protein shake, about 8 oz so far per day. I tried pudding but i chest quickly told me no, that isnt gonna work lol I think the pain will keep me in line for sure.

Keep up the good work , I will follow your success <3

Congrats to you! I'm jealous since I had gained 6 lbs after I came home from Surgery. But I did weigh again yesterday and lost the six plus 3 more pounds. How much fluids are you all getting in? I feel kind of weak but started Protein Drinks today and feel better.

That is awesome! Doesn't it solidify your decision? I definitely had buyers remorse for the first few days, I was in a lot of pain.

I have been on the treadmill everyday (since Monday) for about 20-30 minutes. Today was the best day for sure. I'll be back to work on Monday!!! I am getting really sick of the Protein shakes, everything tastes so darn sweet. What else are you trying?

I've been setting a timer and every 10 minutes take another few sips, that is the only way I've been able to keep up with the water.....64 oz is ALOT! My surgeon recommended blending up minestroni Soup and sprinkling parmesean on top of it. That was much more exciting then the shakes. I added a little unflavored Protein powder to make the Soup better for me.

I am excited about this journey! Congratulations!!!

I am trying to drink Water every 10 minutes, I set a timer and once it buzzes I sip a few times. I think today was the first day I'll reach 64 oz. It is really a full time job getting all of the liquids in!

What other liquids have you tried? Congrats!!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
