Wow MamaT, 43 lbs is great! When were you sleeved? How long were you off work? Hopefully I'll get a surgery date towards the end of July.

Nurse for 15 years, RN for 6 years. Presently in school working on my Masters, graduating in Dec. 2012 FNP. Trying to get sleeved in the middle of the semester in between clinical rotations. Presently working Psyc and Telemetry!

i was banded march 2008 and revised to a sleeve in 2010. i lost a total of 100 lbs and had a TT in may and they took 6.1 lbs of skin. prior to my TT i wore size 10-12 and now i wear 4-8, depending on where i shop

I am an RN with 39 years experience in different areas, mainly ER and Open Heart Surgery. Was sleeved on Feb 9, 2012 and am very glad that I did it. Have lost 59 pounds, and am currently stalled right at 200 lbs. Can't break into that onederland- which is driving me crazy. Anyway, love being a nurse, in spite of all of the hard work and long hours.

I was out for 2 weeks- but if you dont have help with lifting then it has to be longer... I had very supportive coworkers that helped me out so I didn't have to lift for 6 wks
