  1. Brush, barely pat dry and cocoa butter
  2. Sue, lots of ppl don't pay attention to their nails but if you want you can actually see them getting brittle and thin just like your hair. But we are women so we are more focused on our hair ????
  3. Oj with iron is a good combination . The orange juice helps with better absorption
  4. Either way, you will lose some hair cause of the severe shock and starvation, hair, nails are the first to go????
  5. I am natural and braided my hair for the first three months, but I started seeing my hair loss by 4-5 months. I tried to be compliant with my vitamins and protein and that was it for me. At 2 years out I got very good restriction and I can eat one small chilli from Wendy's now. Of course I am so stuffed after that I literally crawl in bed. But you will start feeling all better by 3 - 4 months. I can't tell you to keep up with exercise cause I didn't. I really got serious after a year????. Listen to your body, everyone is different????
  6. Well let me just say after 2 years, only my healthcare staff knows about it. My lips are sealed. And I meant I didn't tell a soul, not my bf, no sis no one. Yeah they cared for me at the hospital for my gallbladder story! No. Regret and living the life
  7. Hello ladies, I am in Brockton, 2 years out and feel free to ask any questions! Good luck!
  8. If you set unrealistic goal and go down way below of what you are supposed to be, of course it will be constant calorie count etc but if you let your body decide, trust me you won't need to worry over your weight, but just eat to satisfy your hunger. After 2 years, I am proof of that. I eat whatever I want, work out 3x weekly and don't need to count calorie. When I did go down to 140, constant struggle. At 146-150, easy peasy. I am loving it! Good luck
  9. Over here, it's 5 keloids! And guess what I will take five more for that surgery
  10. 2 years out and this is one of my very concern. I try to get a good snack in the morning, carb and do not skip lunch. So far so good.
  11. Two years ago, I was 28, I got my sleeve so I can tell you that your boobs will be like running pancake more or less, your skin will bounce back but not to the point you can be a model. Exercise will help and moisturize. If you have stretch marks, forget it, it becomes wrinkle tshirt type of look. I look great and won't trade that skin for nothing.
  12. Look for MA sleevers and you can get all the info there
  13. I have! Well y'all and my hospital staff are the only people who are aware of my surgery. I mean I keep my mouth shut, zip. I always been accused of being private so I guess it is so.
  14. The surgeon literally fold over the stomach no cutting involved. Major concern is lack of circulation
  15. The bad breath won't go away unless you correct the underlying problem. Gum, brushing won't help!
  16. I am not sure who is Dr Vandor however they have lots of doctors on staff. I chose Dr. Mc cause I like him, good bedside manners, way more sleeve experience . They do give you a choice to pick what doctor would you like?
  17. The hospital staff was great. I actually was the one refusing pain meds and truth be told if it weren't for the incision I wouldn't know I had surgery. I spent two days there and the day of my discharge I walked 2 miles. I went to the Boston parade that same day. Go figure!!! Just let the staff take care of you but I refused their bed bath. Hell to the no on that one. I can wash myself by myself but some nurse would insist on doing it for you though
  18. I actually hit deidre goal by 6 months, mine by 9 months, been in maintenance ever since. I do fluctuated between 2-5 lbs. size 6! I am quite happy with my decision. The whole process overall took about 3 months. I didn't have to worry about insurance denial etc. psych lady was a joke but I still see her. I stay in contact with deidre via email mostly. Martha is a gem, love her!!
  19. Nothing can satisfy my bottomless pit, however I try to make the most healthy decision such as snacking on nut etc or even get the hell out of the house. Boy did I say I am plain hungry?
  20. Lmao, Laura, you are a trip and please don't change!
  21. Thx to Fiddleman, I am doing an average of 2109 cal a day with an alternate of 1280, boy I can drop 4 lbs in one day. I guess that TDEE is something. Thx Fid!
