5 Months And 10 Days Out....down 81 Pounds!

Yes I know...I'm a little late on posting...I was out of town on my 5 month surgiversary so I am posting now...I will admit, this has been one heck of a ride..Expecially the first month or two...That was the hardest. But it has all been well worth it..I have a ton of NSV's. I feel SOOO much better and my confidence has sky rocketed. I had the worst self esteem ever prior to surgery and I wouldn't say it is great now but it is a heck of a lot better. I am getting frustrated with the hair loss and can't wait for it to stop. My nutritionist says it is the worst between months 3-6. So I am hoping it will slow down soon as I have lost over half.

I am currently down 81 pounds..I have went from a size 20 in jeans and a 3x shirt to a size 12 in jeans and a size xl shirt...Hoping to lose 19 more pounds...

Oh yes, and the hair loss...sucks! I just started with it about a month ago, it is kinda freakin me out since I have fine hair. Hopefully it will slow for us soon cause it seems like I am losing alot!

You look GREAT, Sleeve Sister!! I've been wondering how you've been! Fabulous, girl! I started noticing the hair loss in May. I hope it slows down soon, also. You're almost home, Diva!

What's the hardest thing to deal with in the first few months? My surgery is in four weeks and I am getting nervous!!!

Justme, I really didnt have any issues, hopefully you wont either. Just keep an open mind and be strong, you can do this. I was terrified but the day I went home I was pleasantly surprised when I felt great. Just make sure to get your water in and walk as much as you can. Best of luck to you.

The OP and I were sleeved on the same day so I'm just over 5 months also. I didn't have any complications with my surgery, but the first few weeks were a bit of a struggle energy wise for me. Everything took so much out of me. Taking a shower, grocery shopping, cleaning my house, walking around at work. I was SO glad when i started feeling like myself again!

I haven't had any issues with tolerating food. I fall into the "sleeve of steel" category. LOL! I'm down 83 pounds, all post op weight loss. I feel SO much better with this weight off! I still have a way to go, but I feel amazing!

So, for you lovely skinny people who have lost a significant amount of weight, have you experienced times when you were totally off balance and being blown away by the wind? Or off balance just plain walking? I find myself eperiencing this at times also and it does scare me, I start thinking, WTH? LOL This is a really weird NSV!! LOL :)

LOL! I'm in NO WAY skinny! I have over 100 left to lose. But I do find myself looking at my reflection when I'm out and thinking, " look at you, girl"! :-)
