Taco Bell Pintos and cheese. About 99 cents I think.

If we are forced to eat a fast food meal, I like to go to McDonalds and order a plain chicken breast with no bun or sauce. It's very low calorie, low carb, and high in Protein.

I also buy in bulk and cook for the week. I found these steamer bags that you can cook a chicken breast in less than 10 minutes in the microwave. Easy meal there too!

Hope that helps!

The taco bell pintos and cheese is 4.5 oz. and cost .99. A 16 oz. can of Rosarita Beans is .99 usually at my market. The hot sauce and cheese maybe 3 cents more. Rosarita also make lard free vegetarian, fat free, jalapeno and the regular stuff. I'm still sticking to the fact that cooking at home always beats fast food in price, health and taste. How long to heat up a can of Beans? I bet I could beat the drive through guy.

I know you were asking about fast food, but if time and money and health are factors then I offer this.

I always add a little dollop of plain Greek yogurt too. Kicks up the Protein and tastes like sour cream to me.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
