We are coming up on our month 10! One year is just around the corner for us! Can you believe it?

I'm down 4.2 lbs since my check-in on May 12th. Would love to see a big loss of a couple lbs in a week but my body just doesn't want to give it to me. I believe though as long as I am headed in the right direction I am satisfied with that. I changed my goal last week, I am being daring and setting it just within the normal range of my BMI. This is scary for me, I haven't been in that range at least since high school, very possibly junior high - so 22-25 years ago! I have confidence in this sleeve and I though, I know together we can do this. I did however reach 100 lbs down this last month - that includes my pre-surgery loss as well. I have worked for every pound so I don't differentiate before/after.

I've been dreaming more and more about plastic surgery these days, sure would love to have a Tummy Tuck, and have my thighs and arms done. And heck, if I am doing all that, maybe a boob lift. Not actively trying to win the lotto though so I am sure it won't happen for a long time. My support group had the plastic surgeons in for a meeting and they discussed all of their pricing so I know what the cost would be from them. Anyone else considering it or looked in to it yet?

If you see your fellow all-stars out on the boards, try to let them know about out monthly check in! Have a great June!

Hey Me! :) I reached 100 pounds gone in May as well! YAY Me!!! :) Great for you as well! I'm starting to think that, no matter how fast or slow we start out, eventually it all evens out. I'm working out daily, with a rest day here and there. I'm seeing a whole lot more toning, but, like you, I'm seriously starting to think there may be plastics in my future as well. My tummy isn't moving as quickly as I'd like and my legs look GREAT, until you get to my upper thighs.

Size 16, down from 24/26 in shirts and work pants, size 18 in jeans (still tight though), dropped a cup size, maybe more, in my bras.

I am still amazed at how fast the sleeve works!! :)

I dont remember when I hit a 100 pounds down...but I did make it to onederland in may I believe. I am definatly going to have plasitics. I have about another 30 pounds to lose before I will have a Tummy Tuck and a boob lift and plumping :) . I have the money saved and the doc picked already. I will probably schedule a consult with him by the end of summer, hopefully I will be down those 30 pounds by then ;)

good luck ladies!

Hello beautiful ppl, so glad to see you are all doing well and have all been very successful.

Well...I have not hit my 100 lbs mark yet, reason being I'm 6 1/2 months pregnant. Found out I was pregnant in January and it was a complete shock, although we are truly excited and very blessed. All is well, down 76 lbs since surgery in August of last year. When I first found out I was pregnant I weighed in at 219, today I weighed in at 214. Our little boy is growing well and all looks good. Once Sept comes around and he arrives, I will be back on my workout regimen to get to my goal weight. I've got about 40lbs to go and I know that with the dedication and commitment I had pre-pregnancy all will be well :)

Hi Everyone,

As Jellybeans said, it's great to see everyone doing so well and making a success of their sleeves - well done everyone :D

Congratulations to Jellybeans too on your exciting news!!

My target total weight loss is 80 lbs and I am almost 90% there, having lost 71.25 to date. I too have been very slow losing these last few months but to be honest, if it wasn't for the fact that I have this niggling desperation to register 10 stone 13 lbs (153 lbs to you guys - and just so I can say to myself I'm 10 stone something), I would be more than happy not to lose another lb. I feel AMAZING, compared to where I was this time last year!!!

I've generally been rather slack with exercise right from the beginning. In all honesty, I think because the weight has come off so easily without it, I've just not bothered as much as I should have. Don't get me wrong, I don't sit and do nothing, but if I'm gonna reach my goal of 153 by 20th August, I'm gonna have to 'up' my current feeble efforts.

I too am thinking of plastics at some point down the line, although I'm gonna leave 'things' settle for at least another 6 months in a hope that some of my loose(ish) skin will 'ping' back by itself - yeh right!!! :P And who knows, that little more effort exercising and toning may help too.

Finally, thanks to Mememee for sending the inbox message and giving me the kick up the butt to post my tuppence worth.

I look forward to keeping in touch B)

Today is 2 months since i reached goal, i have actually lost 5 additional pounds since april 14. I'm at the low end of my range but feeling great. I have reached goal so many other times prior to being sleeved. But immediately began regaining the weight. To be 2 months past goal and not begun to gain is truly a miracle. I love my sleeve!

Congrats to all you big losers!

Congratulations on maintenance! That is so awesome! Have you started to eat any different or just added calories?

Hey guys! I am now 87 pounds down. I am 13 pounds from my goal. I have been stalled at 147 for several weeks but I am still losing a few inches and still plugging away at it. I am a size 6-8 now! My goal is to reach 100 pounds lost and I will get there. These past two months have been slow but it was expected. I have looked into plastics and at my consultation, decided on a belt lipectomy. Its the best for me and my shape. I plan on getting it in November but I am not sure the scheduling will work out. It might have to be a little later due to money and also time off from work.

Everyone is doing great!!! So happy for all of us!

Hey All Stars! You all are doing so well, congrats!

I am down 88 lbs, weighing 178 lbs. I have 12 lbs to go, to reach my surgeon's goal for me of 100 lbs lost. I ideally would like to get down to 150 lbs, so another 28 to go. We'll see how it goes! I've never been this small as an adult, so not exactly sure where I would like to settle.

I am not losing as quickly as some of you have, but I am really okay with it. It is still steadily coming off, albeit slower, and that's all that matters. I do love my sleeve!!!

Hope you all are enjoying your summer!

Kristina

Hey everyone,

Yep, its hard to believe that its been 10 months. While I realize I am a slow loser—people SWEAR every time they see me I drop more weight. Which is totally untrue. I have been in the 190's for the longest at least 6 months but I am in a sizes L, XL, 12 and 14's. Go figure. It just depends on the maker. I am 25lbs from my surgeon's goal and 40 lbs from my goal.

I bloat a lot during that time of the month—I gain usually about 5 lbs. At one point, I would drop anywhere from 10-14 pounds during my cycle but that stopped. I also used to get horrible motion sickness, I would wear the Patches like they give you from the hospital to compensate. That has stopped to—Thank God!!!

I have a fitbit that helps me stay accountable to my daily steps. Generally, I get in about 5 miles per day.

I went to New Orleans for 5 days in January. I went to Phoenix/Scottsdale for 5 days last month. Did some hiking and even dropped 3 lbs while I was there. I do plan to Celebrate my surgiversary in August just not sure where yet. J

Crawfish season was a mental adjustment for me. In times past, I could eat 5-10 lbs at one sitting no problem. This year, I could only get down 1 ¼ pounds. I tried 2 lbs once and I literally was nauseated all the way home and barely made it to the bathroom before the extra ½ pound came up. Lesson learned! I don't do that ANYMORE!

I am so loving life. Otherwise, I have a new outlook. I am off BP meds. I have the rod, out of my leg. Just waiting to firm up some more. I do not have a lot of sagging skin but my thighs could use some work. Going to start doing weights and maybe get the bun and thighs video by Jillian.

I hope everyone is doing great.

How do you plan to Celebrate your surgiversary?

Hi Sunny!

Have you spoken with your surgeon or nutritionist about it? Also, do you track your food anywhere? I use myfitnesspal and find it very helpful - lots of sleevers on there and they give good feedback if they think something you are doing is causing your loss problem.

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
