I have surgery Tuesday morning at 7:30.

I have had no fear until about an hour ago. I have a beautiful four year old little girl. I hope and pray the surgery goes well. She is my world. She is part of the reason that I am making this drastic decision. I want to live a long healthy life with her. I know she is in good hands with her father, my husband while I'm in the hospital. I just have this fear of not waking up from surgery and never seeing her again.

Your nerves are normal!! Try to relax and just pray for God's strength and blessings. You will walk out of there a day or two later and be headed towards a better you and healthier future!! It'll be exciting!!!

There are a lot of things in this world we can control and even more that we can't control. Those fears are very normal. Be at peace with your choices and know that those that you have put your faith in also want the best for you.

Yes,to be nervous is normal. I have a 2 year old, I was a bit nervous prior my surgery but you know what? the more calm and positive you do,the better you will do with the surgery recovery process. Just have faith and be positive, you are doing this for your daughter,to live longer and a healthy life.

Best of luck!!

Nerves are normal. Heck I'm having my Endoscopy on June 7 & I'm nervous about that, nervous in the sense that I know I'm getting closer to that magical surgery date.

All of us out here on this website will be wishing you well and saying prayers for you. Think of all the positive things (changes) that will happen. By the way, you've got a cute little girl. Lucky lady.

I agree with all the others, it is totally normal. I was real nervous until the morning of surgery. I just got super happy and excited! Everything went so perfect and it was all over real fast. I have a 8 and 9 year old one in which is a type 1 diabetic. So I know how you feel! Good luck and you will do great!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
