A lot of surgeons allow puddings in "full liquid" stage.

To the OP... be cautious and eat very slowly. You are probably still pretty number so you might not realize that you are over-filling your sleeve. Stick to whatever serving size guidelines your surgeon gave you and measure everything.

Having said that, pudding and any other "full liquid" isn't necessarily a good gauge for the size of your sleeve. They pass through the pyloric valve quickly, much like other liquids like Water. Some sleevers can feel restriction with liquids, others can't. Once you are on regular foods, you'll really be able to feel your restriction.

So don't worry about it right now... but do measure things and take it slow. Congrats on your sleeve!

Mine is in Greenville, SC. I had to have Clear Liquids the day before surgery, but since my swallow test, I am on a full liquid diet. No chunks of stuff... I had Soup, pudding, apple juice, grape juice, milk and unsweetened tea on my tray. I only ate a bit of soup and some tea. It was great. Before bed I ate some pudding. It was good as well.

I had surgery 5/16 and had a hiatal hernia as well, they had to disconnect 2 muscles and literally push my stomach out of my diaphram. Right now, the only things I can somewhat seem to tolerate is Water, sf freeze pops (which are a grrr to find!), sf popsicles, and Im testing out sf fudgesicles today. I cant even do broths, but thats because of the smell (I have a hard time with chicken smells since the surgery) Everything sits heavy, and goes up and down a few times before it finally decides to settle. My NUT told me with the puree foods and such in a week, that if I have a hard time, go back to liquids for a little bit. So dont worry about it :) If it helps you any, I lost 6lbs dropping soda a week before the surgery, and a week after the surgery I lost 15lbs! So while it sucks now, it's definitely helping the weight hehe

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
