I'm In A Stall (My First) But It's Does Seem Weird.....

Recommended Posts

I really don't get it.....I thought this was about math; calories in, calories out, calories burned......but it can't be.....people are simply wired differently.

Would be interested in hearing from others on this one.......if you would be so kind to just glance at my blog (link below) for this week as I talk about what I do vs others and I just think some people can't lose fast, or much.

I'll be fine (I'm within 10 lbs of goal and happy to just stay here) but it is curious......

You would think it would be as simple as calories in and calories out!! I just have to remind myself that I can't lose every single day. I sort of chalk it up to my body needing a break or needing a chance to readjust a bit. I will say, whenever the scale slows down I break out the tape measure....sure enough, things begin reshaping!

By the way, you're blog is amazing! I look forward to your entries every week!

Kristin

Thanks everyone! Benjamin, I just ordered FATHEAD on my NetFlix and moved it to Position #1 so I'll get it in a day or two...thanks! Congratulations on your upcoming date.......and keep us posted.

Kristin, thanks for the compliments on my blog; much appreciated!

Big Craig: wow, 74 lbs in 2months???? That's what I've lost since last year! Good grief.....sounds like it's too fast, no?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
