41 To Be Sleeved June 25

Recommended Posts

Sleeved last September at 51 & feel the best I've ever felt. My 21 year old daughter can't keep up with me. 91 pounds gone, walk 2 miles a day, take Pilates twice a week & starting Zumba on Monday! Oh & I'm going to be a grandmother next month. - so we are NEVER too old to get healthy! I was lucky I could walk down the block without stopping to catch my breath. Best decision ever!

Yes it did . :) I'm 140 lbs down and in a size 12/14. I need to lost another 30 lbs but having trouble. Havent lost but close to 5 pounds in the past two months. I'm having trouble staying motivated and eating the right foods and not exercising. Any suggestions?

Life gets in the way :) I found myself indulging on a few unhealthy options- although lower amounts- which caused a stall but luckily no major regain. Just have to jump back on the wagon again with low carbs and high Protein and get back to the race! I am about 10 months out and 17 lbs away from my initial goal and 32 from my doctors goal according to bmi chart. We shall see:) anything lower than my goal if 135 will be a bonus! If I get to 120- my doctors goal I will have lost 125 lbs.. Right now -92 lbs and 152 lbs.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
