2 Success Posts In 1 Day? Whattt?!?!

Recommended Posts

Well, I did it y'all!! My Body Fat is now down to 18.2%. At 330 Lbs, it was nothing but a wild dream to ever think I'd be right here where I am today. I am floored, seriously!!!

I usually only check on Sundays, however for the last few days I've been feeling incredibly thin. Thinner that I have yet and so far. So I checked and wow... My goal was 19%.. so I one upped it.. heehee!! I have a feeling it will even go lower, which is fine. As long as I don't go below 13.8% I will be fine (for my age group that should be the minimum) but DEFINITELY no lower than 11.3%.

On to the next phase of my life y'all - just to maintain my current frame and get my head in the books. Yes, this Semester I'm starting my schooling to become a Professional Fitness Expert and Nutritionist. I will specialize in the Super Obese and Bariatric patients. I am SO looking forward to this new chapter in my life.

My all the goodness bring blessings to each and every one of you. Keep your chin up! It takes time to get here where I am... patience my darlings. :) I'm going on 2 years post op in September.

This is probably the best thing anyone has ever said to me, so thank you. Seriously... it's taking a lot of courage for me to do this. I often wonder if I'll be considered good enough. I guess that's just the eternal fat girl in me talking.

Hi Jill! I have tons of pictures in my gallery, I do believe they are available to look at by everyone. ^_^

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
