1 Month Post Op Progress Photos

Recommended Posts

So as of today I am 1 month and 2 days Post Op. Here are some photos. Have lost only 17 pounds since surgery and total 36 pounds to include pre surgery. I know I should be happy but for some reason I thought I'd lose more than that.Been at a stall lately. My co-workers said it looks like I'm losing inches faster than pounds and can definitely see a difference. On a good note my size 28 LB jeans are super baggy and I just slipped on my Right Fit size 6 LB Jeans (have no idea what a size 6 equivs to) today that I haven't worn in a year woohooooooo.

Hoping to see more pounds come off before my big trip in August!

17 pounds in a month sounds pretty darned good. That is more than four pounds a week!

Congrats! You're doing great! Please, remove the word "only" in front of the number of pounds you've lost. You've lost an ENTIRE 17 pounds in a month! That's FANTASTICCCCCCC!!! Could you have done that before? NOPE, not without starving yourself to death and white-knuckles the whole time.

Enjoy this journey. It may be slower than you expect, but you WILL get there. :)

Good luck!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
