I have not, but it does happen. "Unfortunate" reactions to anesthesia are fairly common.

I had my egd done on Friday at the place I'm supposed to get my surgery and I think they over sedated me, I was so scared and now I'm terrified to get my surgery

I was sleeved on 3/14/12, I had no problem with the anesthesia as far as I know, one moment I was talking to a nurse the next moment I was waking up in the recovery room. So if anything did happen I was knocked out and had no idea..LOL :D

I was sleeved 3/29 and had no complications with anesthesia. Matter of fact, they gave me something in my iv before they took me to the operating room and I was out of it.

I had an IV but honestly I was out so fast after the "happy relaxer" they gave me to drink in pre-op.

I did great, but slept most of the first day. The gave me some Verced (not sure how to spell it) to relax me and I don't remember anything else. I also just had an IV. Good luck!!

I had an IV and they gave me the "happy juice" as I was being wheeled in to the OR. Don't remember a thing afterwards. I've had 6 surgeries and haven't had any issues with the anesthesia. However, for the sleeve, I remember telling them, "Just make sure I don't wake up until AFTER the surgery". I don't remember a thing until the following day, and had a really awful headache. I think the anesthetist gave me a little too much. I would be happy to do it again in order to be sleeved as I am now! Well worth it!!

What do you mean by you felt you were over sedated? Could you be a bit more specific about your concerns? Are you concerned over nausea, allergic reactions, etc? Normally you are prepped before you go to OR. Your vitals will be taken and you will be asked the same questions several times to make sure there is no disagreement with previous information you have provided about your health status and medications you may be on. You will be given an IV to pre-sedate upon your arrival to OR. Usually this is Versed. It relaxes you but you can still response to directions from the surgery team but you will have no memory of it. Then you will be placed under gas anesthesia. Normally that is either Isoflo or Sevo. But anesthestics work very well and leave the body fairly quickly after the procedure is done. You should discuss any concerns you have with surgeon prior to surgery so he/she can explain the procedure and address and concerns you have.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
