I am almost four months out and I am very worried that my weight loss is already over. I have lost 68 pounds since surgery. I'm am only 7lbs from onederland. I have been in a terrible two week stall and it is very concering to me. I have been working out 4 days a week and burning around 500 calories each time between the treadmill, elliptical, and yoga. My diet for the last two weeks has been almost all Protein with a couple of wheat thins here and there ( I have been strict with this cause I want to get to onederland so bad). The only thing I can think to do is up my protein even more. Has anyone stopped losing after only four months? Any answers or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks

I have pretty much stopped losing. I slowed down a lot around my 4th month. But I am close to my doc's weight loss. Maybe 1 or 2 lbs, but I still want to lose more. So I am working on Rocking my Sleeve! ;)

I'm so glad to see this thread, because I've been stuck, stuck, stuck for the past three weeks and am three months out and counting. Heck, I sure wish I could figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Eating Protein and veggies, with little fruit. I'm only getting between about 600 and 800 calories daily, so I'm wondering if I actually need to eat more!! How could I not be losing weight? I know I've lost inches, but this is craziness.

Working on adding more cardio and I'm drinking all my liquids also.

Maybe I just need to be patient. Sigh.

Onward,

Carol

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
