Is "amazeballs" good?! (I'm such a square! - sorry). If it's good: awesome!!!!! Mine got dry and flaky. But it was short lived. It perked up as time went on! Now one of the comments I get a lot is that I look a lot younger. A lot of that is the weightloss but my skin is looking pretty good too. Congratulations on your surgery and glad you are feeling so good!!!!

I seem to also get...you are just glowing...(the only other time people told me that was when I was pregnant) . One guy said "did you do something to your hair? then after telling him nope hairs the same he puts his hands apart and brings them together a bit and he says "I think your face used to be this big now it looks this big...your face is shrinking....Lol

LOL yes amazeballs is good! I had problem skin, like kinda blotchy just on my left cheek. It's completely gone and my skin is smooth. I met my friend for lunch yesterday and she said it looks like I lost weight. I lost 10 pre-op and I'm not weighing myself until Wednesday (just weekly weigh-ins for me).

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
