Does anyone have a scale addiction?

Recommended Posts

I am also extremely obsessed! Does anyone else notice that they lose weight AFTER a shower? Yep, .5 lbs sometimes. Also, a hot bath. Somedays I will take it anywhere I can get it.

We did hide the scale today. It is too much of a disappointment when you exercise, eat right, drink your Water, and gain 2 lbs. :omg: now, unless I cheat, it is once a week, on Friday mornings. My DH says that way we will have worked all week and it is before the weekend!

2 weeks til my first fill, hopefully then the scale will take a swift dive. :nervous

I know exactly where everyone is coming from...I am now trying to break my addiction to the scales...It can be depressing some times to step on it every morning with such a small if any change...I am on my 3rd day of not weighing in and am trying to go till the 27th before I step on that scale so I can be totally excited with the loss (I hope)...Breaking the habit might as well have a 12 step program

I've heard that, but I get into trouble when I don't weigh in every day. I've learned to be OK with the not moving/going up when I know I've been eating well. But when I'm not eating well, I avoid the scale, and go right on up.

Ok....everytime I try to lose weight, I become addicted to the scale. I hop on at least 3 times a day to see where I am....even though I KNOW it hasn't moved. LOL When I did Atkins, I used the keto-sticks every time I pee'd to make sure they still turned pink. Does anyone else get like this? I am getting next week, and don't want the scale to run my life. I might just have to throw it away and drive somewhere to weigh myself.

I weigh myself 3-5 times a day, I know it is becoming a problem. I expect it to go down from morning to mid-morning, dinner whatever. I assume it should move down constantly and when it doesn't move I am a wreck....

I don't know how to beat it. I have to have it. I think it is the only thing getting me through this.... I am glad and saddened I am not the only one.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
