Can't wait to:

Not be winded by one flight of stairs

No longer trip on items left on the floor by my kids because I cannot see my feet

No longer nearly fall when descending stairs for same reason as above

Decreased back pain from ruptured disc

Get dressed to go out without tears and piles of clothing tossed onto floor of closet (to be tripped over later...)

Tie shoe laces without struggle

Kneel without feeling a crane would be nice in order to get back up

I have lost 50 /bs so far and right now I really look forward to being able to run and jump. They seem such simple things but It physically hurts to run and jump. My fat and my boobs make it really hard to do that. So i look forward to in the future after I have lost most the weight, trying for the breast reduction and Tummy Tuck.< /p>

At my heaviest, I wore a size 20. But I have always fluctuated between a 16-18. I realize I am not the largest person here but I have very similar goals and wishes.

I can't wait to not wear layers in the summer time, to be able to just wear a tank top and a skirt, to be able to get sexy underwear that matches, to not worry about being the biggest person at the gym, to not hide from pictures, to not walk past all the cute clothes and suits in the store for the dreaded "plus" or "women's" section, and to not feel invisible when I walk past a nice looking guy. I can't wait to have a doctors appointment and NOT have weight be an issue.

But most of all, I can not wait to go and buy that ever-elusive "little black dress" (which for now is not so little).

I can't wait to go to a clearance rack at Charlotte forever 21 express and pick up a medium and it's so cheap! Big clothes never go on sale or there are no big sizes left! Oh and heels too!

I can't wait to go shopping for clothes in the same stores as my normal weight friends. I will also enjoy being able to try on clothes and ask for their opinions instead of simply being the friend that sits outside the changing rooms to say "that looks good" to every outfit my friends model.

I also will be so excited to be able to go in a normal size bathroom stall without basically standing on the toilet to be able to close the door.

I will also will enjoy when I can order food and not have to worry about people thinking "she is going to eat ALL of that?" or "no wonder why she is so big"

I'm sure I will have many more to post later <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

All of this sounds like my story! Good luck to you!

Wow. 0.o

I seriously never had a complex like those. The only thing that comes to mind is me riding my motorcycle. Fat guy on a little bike. Other than that people dont bother me. They just hate on me cause I am a privileged character. Everyone hates on people who got.

In my experiences watching people' date=' people tend to trade off. Meaning once you fit in that car, amusement ride, motorbike, hollister clothes you start another complex like my skin sags, im wrinkly, and so on. Its in everyones best interest to keep what I am saying in mind to avoid this from happening to you.

Good luck on breaking the cycle[/quote']

What does that mean, a priviledged character?

Charlotte Russe is so cheap isnt it?! They have cheap shoes, and other cute stuff. Skinny stores always have great prices in comparison. I can't wait to spend $5 on a shirt. Man... Once I get small... I'm going to be feeling so whell, acting like my sh*t doesn't stink. Hehehehe. Just loving it. :) I even recently lowered my goal. I mean my major goal is still the same, but I would be happy with a size 8.

I second everything that was said...and, I can't wait to buy something sexy to wear for my husband. He is my rock. And has loved me and called me beautiful regardless of what size I was...he is my hero. I also can't wait to look great in our family photos. We haven't ever done any with all of us. Because of my weight gain I didn't want to be in them. So much to look forward to!

so sweet! And naughty!

I cant wait to try on a NORMAL wedding gown!

I can't wait to wear jeans and a white t-shirt again (my uniform), walk without pain in my knees and feet, go to the beach without feeling embarrassed and not being invisible. Oh, while there are no guarantees, I am looking forward to living a longer, healthier, happier life >3

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
