Just got the call for my surgery time on Monday, very excited but getting a little nervous. Any last minute suggestions from all of you on the losers bench? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Congratulations!!!

I'm only 9dpo, but the best advice I can give is walk walk walk as soon as possible!! Also sip as much as possible. During your first week, don't focus so much on your Protein intake, just try to get in as much fluids as you can. Take it easy and remember to use a small pillow to splint your stomach when coughing or rising up from a sitting or laying position.

4 more days!!! :D

My Surgery is March 19 at 7 am. Very excited an scared. This is a long time coming. Just curious what to expect that first time I take my first sip after surgery? That is my biggest fear right now.

That is great everyone. We will all have to keep in touch an help each other out. I know I am on the countdown already to surgery. Looking at 40 hours till surgery time. Getting very excited. How is everyone doing with pre-op clear liquid diet. So far I am okay not missing the food. Married with 3 kids an meals still have to go on. I am drinking Isopure it has 40 grams of Protein in it so I do half a bottle in am and other half at lunch. (tastes and like koolaide) Then tonight I am going to try Injury protein mix at dinner with my sf Jello and Popsicle. Hope everyone has great day.

I'm getting a little nervous and sometimes wonder if I'm doing the right thing but I know that this will be the best thing I can do for myself to get healthy. I'm so glad to see so many of us with the same date! I look forward to hearing from all of you later this week to hear how everything went. Good luck to you all!

I understand the nerves. My husband got sleeved a year ago last week so I know what to expect and I'm still a little anxious. Decided to take my last ever trip the Lane Bryant today to buy a bra that doesn't have an underwire. I read somewhere on another post that one woman said that was one thing she wished she knew before surgery.

To quote Bob Marley, "Everything little thing's gonna be alright". :)

Good luck to all of us tomorrow. By Wednesday, I hope to hear that you are all well on your way to recovery and a brand new life with me. :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
