Weight Going Down, But Not Pants Size Not So Much

Recommended Posts

Is their another choice beside pear and apple? I do know that I have significant floppy belly above my C-section scar that causes me to be a larger size than I otherwise would be. Even if left with it, I am too much of a chicken to get plastics. I saw info on tummy tucks are they are BARBARIC! People that said they had a high pain threshold like me were reduced to blubbering. Statements like "you won't be able to stand up straight for awhile put the fear of God into me.

Yeah, I'm an apple shape and definitely have more of a belly now than when the weight came off. It's my nemesis....

There are so amny varying shapes and not just for girls...but in general they (clothing) try ti use pear, apple, square, retangle and triangle, from

what I notice...I don't think these are enough to lump a person into how they are going to lose weight. I think it has a lot to do with height and also where it comes off of. I also think (when I say think I generally mean educated guess cause I have no direct reference) that pounds lost in ketosis vs. A higher carb diet might affect the appearance also...it is really interesting, however, to see just how different we each are and then to know how generalized our care has been...hmmmmm

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
