Today Is One Of My Good Days :)

Recommended Posts

So I had my surgery 2/13. I lost 18 pounds pre-op and so far 19 post op!! I have been lucky to have no nausea and just try to get all water/protein in each day. I am hopeful to live the rest of my 20's saying "im skinny"!

Congratulations! I was sleeved 1/31 and I'm down 37 lbs! You are doing GREAT! Keep it up!!! I will warn you what I had just found out about last week- the 3 week curse. Happens to some people I guess. I was REALLY freaked out because I was doing well losing the weight, but it suddenly came to a hault and I was doing everything I was supposed to be doing!!! Then everyone on here let me know that it was normal and the losing would start back up eventually- and it did, yesterday morning. SO happy.

You're going to love it! I had a little trouble with my liquids/protein too, but that gets easier!

GREAT JOB!!!

Congrats! You guys are black belt LOSERS!! :)

I wish I was a fast loser too - but I tend to lose slowly. But I'm not worried much. Coz though it has been a bit slow, I do see gradual weight loss and I'm more and more confident that I will be able to lose a considerable amount of weight this year and reach goal atleast next year!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
