Stalls Are No Big Deal So Why Complain?

Recommended Posts

Hmmmm....Interesting. Do you have an issue with high blood pressure too, because you might want to get that checked. This is a forum where people go to read and listened to like minded people and see and hear their experiences. I wouldn't go to a post menopausal forum to find out about why I am losing my hair. I am new to the forum as I was just sleeved on 12/31. But it was helpful to me to read that others have had these stalls. I stalled my second week and didn't lose one pound even though I was eating 500 calories a day. My Dr didn't warn me about the stalls. If I hadn't read it on these forums, I would have never known and thought "what in the world am I doing wrong?" or "did I make a wrong decision in doing this?"... It is comforting to see others who have gone through these stalls and have picked back up on the other side. Because someone said that they were stalling helped me though my stall. So I agree with the others...If you don't like to read about stalls, dont. Don't complain about the "complainers". It is hypacritical and isn't what these forums are for.

Because someone paid big bucks for a sleeve, doesn't guarentee success!!! Watching what you eat and keeping track of your claories does!!!It's simple math, calories in, calories burned!

Most of us on here failed miserably at that in life and ended up sleeved!I see people on this site and others that lost 100 pounds then don't loose for a week and get frustrated and post it! They were already a BIG success loosing the 100 pounds!!!This isn't a race, this is a lifestyle. THATS WHY I POSTED MY FRUSTRATION ABOUT STALLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So many people on here have accomplished so much already and seem not to see it.

"a calorie is a calorie" is a load of crap. Everyone's body handles each type of sustenance differently. Thyroids are HUGE factors. If your thyroid is not at its optimal performance level, you can eat 500 calories and you won't burn it off doing 500 calories worth of exercise. Again - there are other factors that need to be considered. Not everyone is lucky enough to have a "perfectly running body" like you apparently do. If you don't like the posts, don't read them. Simple enough - but have the CIVILITY and RESPECT for others that have concerns.

Oh - and nice "Christian" attitude, judging others.

Just disappointment and magically wanting that weight off I think. I understand why people need to vent although, IMO, a stall isn't a few days of not losing. A stall is 2 weeks or more without losing. Not losing a pound a day is not a stall (although it feels like one the first time that happens!) until you haven't lost for a couple of weeks. That's a stall! I had my first one of those at 5 weeks for 3-1/2 weeks living on less than 500 calories a day. Anyway whether it's three days at the very beginning or 3 weeks, it's tough to put up with without venting.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
