So Im 30lbs away from goal and Im very happy that the scale is cooperating. But Im already thinking about setting a new one. I was hoping I would look a lot leaner at 200lb for a guy but I still look like a slimmer version of the old me. I was talking to some hardcore guys at the gym who said I would be able to see recognizable changes at 180-175 so im thinking of setting that as new goal, but I want to Celebrate reaching my original goal first so focused on that last 30 for this New Year. I should be one hot cookie by summerlaugh.png

Hello and congrats on your progress!

Setting a goal also depends on your height. How tall are you?

Congratulations for hitting goal! This process is fascinating to me. It's like peeling off layers to see what's really beneath. I've been fat for so long that I don't know what I really look like under all this blubber. Good luck on your next goal!

I think a lot can be said for the final 20-30 Lbs. It wasn't until I lost it that I really felt satisfied by what I see in the mirror. My final few didn't hapen until my contouring either, so I have no idea if I would even be satisfied today had I not done the Plastics. I'm thinking I wouldn't. But that's just me.

It's interesting to hear you mention this about revamping your final goal. I am 32# away from the final goal i set for myself in the beginning. I'm 5'4" and thought I would set it for 135. We will see how things go, but I'm starting to wonder if maybe I might shoot for 125. I'm not trying to be vain about the weight loss, but I have so darn much loose skin and part of me thinks that if I am going to have plastics down the road, it would be better more likely for the surgeon to be able to have the skin be more taunt afterwards. Guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
