***Disclaimer*** I'm using some unladylike language here, but it's just how strongly I feel about this!!

I hate that word "afraid"!!! I'm personally sick and tired of being afraid. I absolutely refuse to be afraid any more. That's why I had the surgery in the first place. I was fat because I was afraid--a history of childhood sexual abuse and an absolute determination to avoid true intimacy--yeah, fat was a pretty good suit of armor. But I am damned if I will feel afraid like that again--and not just like that. I'm not talking about taking crazy chances or doing stuff that's outside my comfort zone (like bungee jumping or something--not happening in this lifetime). But I am not going to allow fear to be my boss, my determining factor. As my students would say, HELLS to the no!!

If you miss the gym, get in there and kick ASS--and show yourself (and secondarily, anyone who might be observing) that you ARE the warrior princess you are in your mind's eye. I for sure am--I am strong, I am capable, I am fearless, I AM ENOUGH!!!!!

Make it a mantra--just repeat it over and over. I am strong. I am capable. I am fearless. I AM ENOUGH!!

I absolutely fell apart while watching "The Help" when Abilene is telling the baby, "You is kind. You is smart. You is important." She says it over and over, and the child is repeating it... WHY don't we each get that message from the beginning? Well, because we didn't. But it's never too late. We are strong. We are capable. We are fearless. WE ARE FREAKING ENOUGH.

Okay. Ladylike Meg is back. (But I love me some warrior princess Meg, too....)

Meg: Where's the unlady like message? LOL I love what you have said, it is so true. We are warriors! We are survivors! We need to eliminate the word "AFRAID." Lets conquer our fear and know that we can do anything we set our minds too. Yep! Let's do it! :)

GT: you are doing great considering all the sh** you've been going through. Moving out of your house is an emotional ordeal and you have done great with your diet! you are a go getter and what's coming around the corner for you will be bigger and better! :)

Coops: Thank you so much. I pretty much am at goal I guess, I just have a lot of excess skin folds around the belly and sides that makes me think I have more weight to lose. I really want to lose just a couple more pounds where my bounce doesn't go above 145lbs. By right now, I weighted 148.9 lbs today. I really can't picture any fat rolls on your back side either. Maybe that's the same as my front rolls. Yep that would bug! You will get there my friend. :) Today I am focusing on just being me. Funeral stuff is over, and family is behind me (meaning in-laws). It is kind of sad though. :)

Meg in my opinion that was the speech of a true lady, ever hear the speech Queen Elizabeth I gave her troops at Tillsbury? Thank you for your inspiring words, I might have to print them out and paste them over my bathroom mirror -when I get a bathroom! :)

gotta tell ya... I 'think' I've lost a pound..lol

I know that may sound weird, but I have seen 163... it has been sneaking in and out for a couple of weeks, but I didn't want to say anything just in case it was Water fluctuating... that was until now... I've seen it for a few days on the bounce now.

An all time low from Coops...163 yey me!!

I am sorta hoping now that I can get 10 15?... nearly 10 mths of bouncing all over the place from 164 - 169 and now I seem to be settled at 163! Phew!

Please let this be the end of the stall, and please let me lose, even slowly, til I get to at least my surgeon's goal and perhaps my goal????

Oh, and I've been released from physio, so I can now build my training back up... could this be a sign ...lol

Momoslim... slow is good - slow means at that you/we are losing! I suppose I have learnt that I just gotta keep doing what I am doing... keep ticking the boxes 95% of the time and wait for my body to respond!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
