I messed up and bought a scale the other day...and now am obsessed with looking at the scale too much. Glad I saw this thread! I'll start with when I went to the surgeon's office on 11/15/12, I was 421lbs, I weighed my self Thursday, yesterday and today(LOL ) and I am 414lbs. So from here on out, I'll try to resist and wait until next Saturday....I hope  :D So that is a 7lb loss.

Down to 244 this morning. Trying to find my previous Saturday weigh in...I have been stuck in the 240's in the last month

243.8 today. Meaning a loss of .2lbs this week. I just got over my period though. Hoping by next sat it will be 240! Pray for me lol

Was out of town yesterday, so weighed this morning. Down 2 pounds, haven't worked out since Wednesday and drank a few glasses of wine, will discontinue that and get back on track.

Now that the holidays have begun, this will really get fun! Have a great week everybody!

YOU GUYS ARE DOING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And remember it's a journey! We didn't gain all the weight in one day :) ...we now take it day by day one ounce at a time, one pound at a time :)...Even if there's no weight loss in a particular week, it's a great accomplishment just to maintain, seriously!!! Just keep keeping on!!!!!!!!!!!!! SUPER PROUD OF EVERYONE!!!!

HAVE A GREAT WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
