What Do You Mean It Can't Go Lower? Nsv

Recommended Posts

When my weight was increasing, one of the most depressing events was when I realized that I had to raise the tilt of the steering wheel because it was brushing against my ever expanding thighs. sad.png

When I lost some weight pre-op, I lowered the tilt some, but thought there was at least one more adjustment. Well, on my way home from work yesterday, I noticed there was quite a bit of space between my legs and the wheel. When I got home, I went to adjust the wheel and ...thunk...thunk...it couldn't get any lower! I was happy and in shock!

I know I have a long way to go still, but for me, this was one small reminder that things are getting better. cool.png

Just you wait, in no time you will be adjusting your mirrors and your seat trying to compensate for the incredible shrinking you. Congrats so happy for you!

This was HUGE for me when it happened!! I happen to be really short and for a long time I had to keep the tilt up pretty hard... it didn't block my view or anything (i'm not that short lol) but it was uncomfortable... the first time I went to adjust it and it thunked all the way down I was so happy I just about cried. I love driving so anything to make it more comfortable. My mom (we share the car, well it's technically hers but I drive it a lot more lol) even commented that she has to adjust the seat more because of all the changes I've had to make!

What I love is when I take my car for an oil change or something and the mechanic (who is, in my eyes, a skinny guy) has to adjust the seat backwards in order for him to fit! I love that! Always makes me smile! Now if I could only get him to put it back when he's through. . . . hehehehe

This is a great NSV - one I hadn't thought of. I am going to see if mine is on the lowest setting. What a great way to prove to yourself you are a skinny - minny.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
