Yes I sure did! I liked the Orange and Purple flavors. However I did have to Water them down a lot because the flavor was a bit much for me post surgery.

All the best on your surgery day!!! :)

I was going to buy them on Amazon.com but the local GNC store here normally has them on sale for $1.00 each so its a way better deal to do that! I've been drinking Protein drinks for the last 6 months and Im TIRED of them, I just recently found these.. pretty tasty!

Yay for your first pureed meal!!! :) I cant wait to be excited for that!

How I wish Amazon would ship to me!! I am envious. :)

I loved having a bit of warm chicken broth- pick up a can to try too. After 10 days of fluids I was pretty sick of everything though.

Good luck on your upcoming surgery!

I have some and I couldn't get past the texture. I thought they felt really gritty in my mouth. I never tried the watering it down thing though, maybe that would be helpful.

Isopure was the only Protein I could tolerate right after surgery. Two bottles a day for the 2 weeks post-op liquid phase. After about 3 weeks I could drink Pure Protein.

I am 3 months out and still drink a bottle of Isopure a day. I get it at GNC. If you go the GNC route make sure and get their "Gold Card". It gives you a pretty big discount the first week of each month. Experiment with the different flavors, some are better than others and make sure that you get the zero carb ones. They have an Isopure smoothie too, but I found it was pretty high in calories. Good Luck.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
