I am almost 3 weeks out and have just transitioned from clear to full liquids. I'm probably eating around 300-400 calories a day - which might explain why I feel so hungry! I drink a fair amount of Water but only getting in around 40-50 g Protein daily. I bought some powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chicken broth which packs in 21 g so that is good. Can't wait for the soft foods stage.

I have started walking for about a mile twice a day. So far I have lost 17 lbs - that was with no pre-op diet though so the weight loss will be faster initially because of that.

Checking in here too. I'm stalled. Blah. I eat about 600 calories a day at 4 weeks post op. I can eat most things now, but I stay away from dry or dense meat still. I love salad and tried some this week. It settled well, so I was happy about that. I am bummed the weight is coming off faster, but I look so much better now. I'm back in school full time and feel normal. I am no longer the fat one. ( I lost a lot pre op) My TOM is late. I'm going to assume I have a little Water weight from that and as soon as she rears her ugly head, the losing will commence again. I wish it would just happen already. I got all the symptoms, I know I ovulated, got crampy for a day, got zits but nothing else.

Typical day of eating for me:

1 egg omelet (whatever fillers I feel like) sometimes 2 egg whites, sometimes 1 egg plus 1 egg white, though I can't quite finish it.

1/2 C cottage cheese

tilapia fillet

shake

or

shake

1/2 c low fat chicken salad

string cheese

2 meatballs and 1/4C salad

if I'm still low on Protein, I'll have 1/4 C cottage cheese or greek yogurt as a snack

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
