When did you feel good post op

Jamee - the stomach rumbling might be acid. Did your surgeon prescribe you any kind of antacid or reflux script? My only stomach rumbling has been due to gas, I do not feel hungry at all and only eat because i am supposed to.

Jmiller - I have a case of Protein drinks from costco but I'm not supposed to start them until day 6 or until I have a bowel movement.

Well...I had intense left lower pain for several weeks and thought something major had gone wrong. The doc kept telling me it was the muscle healing after all of the stitches inside he had given me. One day not log after that, I woke up pain-free. It has absolutely left and I have lost 42 lbs and am doing great. I wouldn't change a thing now, even with the pain to endure. It will pay off.

I don't know my BMI was 31 so I don't know if they go on that or maybe the Doctors preference. My mom had one with a Tummy Tuck and she said it wasn't that bad.

I feel better each day, however, Today I have been dizzy again. :( 8 weeks out +-

and at dinner- had 3 bites and ended up vomiting it all.

and so it goes... somedays are good- some are not so...

the best part of the sickness- almost always gives me a weight drop :D

I'm glad your dropping pounds but not like that. I hate feeling dizzy and throwing up. What does the Dr say?

The rumbling is after I swallow drinks or my sugar free pop

Pop as in soda pop? That is a big no-no. The carbonation will expand and stretch out your sleeve.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
