I was wondering if anyone has noticed a change in shoe size since they have lost weight. I am currently a 9.5-10 depending on the shoe!! I would love to have a smaller shoe size!!!

I'm only two weeks out so I can't really let you know either way...but I'm in a 10W or an 11. I'm sure hoping they shrink!!!

Funny you should ask!!

I went and bought some new shoes last weekend and I have ALWAYS worn a 10 in a dress shoe. ALWAYS!!! Depending of my weight, I sometimes need a WIDE!! I wear a 9,5 in a tennis shoe.

So, I get these really cute dress sandals for work and try on the 10W and it is HUGE on me. so I get the 9.5W, same thing! I ended up getting the 9M. My foot went down a whole size!! THAT IS CRAZY!!

I have lost weight before, but never had my foot go down a whole size!! Just the width!

:)

When I lost 70 lbs a couple years ago, I lost a 1 and a half shoe sizes. I never gained it back even when the lbs came back, so yeah you will lose some inches in your feet too.

You will lose in width, but not length. I'm a size 10 and so are all the supermodels!

ps - I'm a shoe-***** too.

I would LOVE to not be a wide width anymore. I could shop at all the cute places instead of just Payless. :)

So far I'm down 67lbs and I'm down half a shoe size or even an entire size depending on brand. My shoes all seem too big and too wide now. I have a friend who also lost a lot of weight and lost almost 2 sizes.

i had a lot of flats and sandals in my closet that I haven't been able to wear for several years. Over the last two weeks all of them now fit me comfortably so with 80lbs lost my foot is shrinking. I was an 8.5 extra wide, so for years now I have been wearing sneakers every day. It is really nice to actually be able to wear something else for once. I can't wait to lose more and actually go shoe shopping one day.

My foot shrunk a whole bumch, and it happened pretty soon after surgery. I went from a 9 1/2 Wide to a regular 8 about 2 months after surgery. I haven't ized myself since, but I think they may have gone down even more than that. Its been hot enough that I've just stuck to flip flops for now. I am getting close to the end (knock on wood) and am going to wait until winter to really but any more shoes. It's amazing how much changes, in't it?

I am a shoe addict. I Have recently bought some shoes, and found I had to switch from an 8 1/2 to an 8. And, the 8 1/2's I wore a lot at my heaviest, I walk right out of now. Wonder if I will end up a 7 1/2 again?

I don't care about the length. I just want the width to shrink. I am sooooooo tired of trying to find something that fits my wide foot. I would love to go to a store and say wow those are cute shoes, I would like to try those on.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
