I like petites or capris or flood pants and I am 5'6". I might have a long torso and this might be a good thing according to my late Mum. It seems that as you age your spine shrinks. I guess this means that if you have long legs and a short torso when you are young, you may be shit outta luck when you are an old fart!

Oooh, lemme see, this could translate to an individual who has 3.5 feet long legs, a 2 foot long trunk, and then a head.............. Maybe a head. Canadians have heads, don't we?

Mandi

Ok my pants drag on the ground. Or I wear taller shoes. I just never really invested too much into a pair of pants to want to shorten them. But I definetly do find petite are just a tad too short.

Ok, green, what's your inside crotch to floor measurement? Cause if you're the same height as me.....

Lila, it's not that I care about my pants (LOL, nice thing of me to say), just that I hate getting them wet.. you know, if it rains, or snows. THEN, I often sit with one of my legs under my butt/thighs, and end up with wet spots on the back of my pants!

Maybe I just need to turn into one of those girls who wear the stilettos with jeans?

I think the stilletos would hurt your butt if you sat on them. OUCH!!!! And by the way thats bad for your posture.

Okay, I just got to these posts now....Lila & Mandi....so I measured like you said...from the crotch basically the top of my leg where it "joins") to the actual floor....and the measurement was 28.25 inches. Of course if I measured to where I would want my pants to hang (which would not be touching the floor!) it would be less.

Hmmmm so maybe I do have short legs.

Mebbe he got around to my mother's neck of the woods, cause I'm a reddy too! LOL (likely my Irish heritage)

I fit jeans that have a 28" inseam and I am 5'6". I like to wear pants that end at the ankle, and some people might find them a tiny bit short.

My real hair colour was strawberry blonde. You know, that reddish blonde colour. And, like a redhead, I don't tan. This is why my skin looks really good for my age. I spent the summers indoors. I used to hate it!:)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
