Did I mess up full liquids?

Ok so we went out for lunch and there was nothing on the menu I could have. So after my family finished eating, we went to Chik FilA and I got chicken Soup. They were nice enough to give me extra broth (I am on full liquids). So I had my broth and was set! I saved the rest for dinner. I got this wild idea to just throw the rest of my soup in my Magic Bullet and blend with some extra broth to thin it out. Well I threw it all in, noodles, carrots and chicken chunks. I blended it up, heated it up and drank most of it. Now I feel so sick. Was it the blended noodles? Was it the blended veg? My tummy is so freaking full, it hurts. I have horrible gas pains. Maybe I ate too fast or too much but I have to wonder - was it the blended soup?!?!

Note to self - just because you liquidify it, doesn't make it OK on full liquids... hahahaha SMH!!

Side note - it tastes FREAKING AMAZING hahaah

Thanks in advance!

Yeah, that would be appropriate for the mushies/pureed phase, not full liquids. Full liquids should only be things that are liquid when warm. Sorry you are hurting! I hope it passes soon and you can try it again when you graduate to the mushy phase.

Thanks!! lesson learned!!

Yeah, that sounds like my dilemma. I don't like anything I have tried pureed. I went back to protein shakes and the like right after I tried 2 or 3 times to eat small mushy food servings. Even nonfat cot cheese tastes terrible--I loved it preop. I can do 2 T oyster crackers or one whole grain bread slice toasted now. Afraid to try grains like rice yet. I find my preop foods are too sweet tasting even though I have not done anything to add sweetness to them with artificial sweeteners. I miss crunching and chewing foods. Gum does nothing but stimulate my hunger. Would rather have light snacks or micromeals throughout the day. I seem to do fine with getting my vitamins and nutrient supplements in, tho. Glad I got my sleeve! Wishing you the very best in recovery and your treatment. Ronda :D

Thank you for your post!!! You and I were sleeved on the same day! Now I'll know NOT to try that! :-) Hope you're feeling better kiddo!!!!!
