IM SOOOO MAD AT MYSELF...NO RESCHEDULE DATE YET

Recommended Posts

I cant believe I did this!!! I was scheduled for surgery June 13th which was cancelled cause the two surgeons couldn't coordinate their time together, so Im pre-oping it alllll week, which is a wonder for me. I was soooo iritable just a short while ago, I ate like a mad man :(:(:( and im soooooooooooooo upset. I have no control at all. Im sitting here having second thoughts whether or not I should even keep going. Plz someone.....give me some good advise, and keep telling me how I have to do this, cause for me there's no other way! thanks for listening.

don't be so hard on yourself. First of all your still doing the pre-op with no date set yet. That s great! I'm pre-op and failed the first day. But tomorrow is a new day to try again. Don't beat yourself over this. Try again and keep your eye on the future :)

I'm sorry you're having a hard time. I only have to do liquids for ONE day...the day before my surgery, and I'm already dreading it. Hang in there, and just start over from this point on. It's not easy or else we would have lost it and kept it off already!

It's ok to be pissed off and upset, but not ok to stop dead in your tracks and not keep going forward! Remember the saying "if it's worth having, it's worth fighting for." ? It's SO true in this case. Your life IS worth fighting for. Put down the Haagan Daaz and step away from the freezer... :P LOL

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
