As an expert pooper I really want to know when I will get my pooping skills back! This gas is so terrible! Rumble Rumble Rumble and no poop...no burps!! I have a scarf wrapped around my belly for when I walk. I am not sure doctors really understand that we have big droopy bellies and they just hang out there. When I had breast reduction surgery i had to wear a surgical bra. I feel like we should have a surgical belt to help keep our tummy in place. The incision pain is horrible. When will that get better? Yesterday i freaked out a little because i was able to eat a whole popsicle. Seemed like too much liquid. Also when I did my upper GI yesterday after my third sip I threw up. I was in rush hour traffic and was sick by the time I got home. I also have a little shortness of breath. All in all I think I am ok. What do you think?

You will start pooping once you get something in your body that can be pooped out. A whole popsicle is not that much liquid, really, and it is like ice chips, you can have quite a few of those and not get sick. The liquid for the GI thing is just nasty and if you had to do three sips, that was probably enough to send you over the edge. I don't know about the shortness of breath. I didn't need anything around my stomach (and believe me, it's droopy). I didn't have incision pain, just itch.

Sleeved on 6/13 and I'm still in the hospital with complications. You name it and it has happened, but it is my hope and my prayer that I will be home in my own bed on Friday! Prayers and lots of them are needed.

Everything will get better. You have not had enough intake to poop and eventually you will! Once you add Protein shakes etc. it will get better.

Popsicles went down easily for me and were a godsend- enjoy! That can only help you with your fluids, which are often hard to take in at the beginning.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
