Of course I know I got the sleeve for long lasting results and I am happy with my weightloss (most days) so far. But a few of my family members and friends are on the HCG diet and doing well. Like really well. I have been researching it for the past week. I watched the Dr. Oz and The doctors episode about what HCG is, does, and doesn't do. For the last month I have stalled out though I am doing a lot to break it. I went back to the basics for a week (100grs of Protein, 20 carbs), I have shaken it up (upcoming calories to 1200 while on Zumba), and mroe. So I looking for something to kick my body back into fat burning mode. I figured, doing this for a month might do so.

Again, I know why I invested and went through the procedure to have the sleeve. I know all about the money I took from my savings, the money going to Mexico, the prayers, and the 61 pounds lost so far. I really don't need to hear "I lost 150 pounds in 6 months with my sleeve only" leave the diets out. I would like to hear from those struggling, like me, and have tried some form of dieting (perferable HCG) and it reved back up their weightloss.

Thanks. :-)

It might. I'm not going to rant on about shocking your body by throwing man-made hormones into it, or dropping down to 500 calories a day again. I punished my body enough with up and down yo-yo type stuff. I'm just not a fan so I won't sway you one way or another, but I would really consider what you're body is already enduring, and what your liver is already trying to process before putting it through more.

I know that HCG is the newest thing. I have a friend that lost 80lbs on it last year, being supervised by a doctor and all that, to date (she went off in early February) she's gained 60 of it back and is now looking at the sleeve. Doing it for a month should give you some results, I have no doubts in that at all.

Just be careful and get it through a reputable source.

Thanks Tiff. I really respect your POV. I just feel like I need to do something to shake my body up. I want to get to at least 170 before my body even thinks about leveling out. I don't know what to do really. I still feel the restriction and eat soooo much Protein. I don't know.

Tiff summed it up..... MOST people gain it all back and then some. I could lose weight fast, and easy. Problem is that I couldn't keep it off!!!!

I did HCG last summer - I did 2 separate rounds of 28 days (3 weeks apart) and lost a total of 35 lbs. First round was ok, it was really hard to eat the required food I needed even tho it was 500 calories. Followed exactly what I was supposed to in between the 2 rounds and keep weight off but as I ended 2nd round, I got so sick. I had to eat more. As of now gained that 35 lbs back plus an additional 15 and am scheduled for surgery on Monday.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
