Problems

Recommended Posts

Ok - so I know this may be normal- but I have started getting really nauseated when others eat- I don't know- like wow -are you really going to shove all that in your mouth- I don't know if I am just jealous- cause I want to too- or it's really making me sick to my stomach- my husband is the worst- he is 6'2" and 200lbs and to me he is thin and eats like a garbage disposal -anyway- my other issue

I really get upset cause I just want to eat "normal" again- not really normal- just whatever- I am only a month out- but I am still having to eat mostly shakes and liquid cause I am so nausated all the time- yes my doctor has given me several medicines- I just can't handle it- any suggestions- besides pull up my big girl panties- cause I am really yanking on them and its not working out so well lol.

Thanks,

Tina

Tina,

Sorry to hear about your trouble. I have not had sleeve yet so I can't really speak to that side of it....

One suggestion might be talking to your husband....Mine eats like a garbage disposal as well and I had to sit down with him and say look, I know I am doing this for me but this is a lifestyle change for "us" and our babies future. I can not have you eating that stuff in front of me because of the temptation. so far.... he has been pretty receptive. I don't really see him eating "bad" stuff in front of me.. He is probably scarfing down little debbie's in his car or something lol but at least it is not in front of me!

Hang in there!

Tina,

I can feel your pain, kind of... I am currently scheduled for my surgery on 06/22/11 and already I feel a little nauseated after I see my husband eat, I think its the anticipation of knowing what I can and can't do anymore. I suggest speaking with your husband, thats all you can do. Hope it gets better soon! I have faith that it will! :D

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
