Favorite Beverage for now

Recommended Posts

I find that I need to change what I'm drinking. I'll get sick of Crystal Light, SF Kool aid, whatever. It tastes good for a couple of days and then I need to switch to something else. But this has been my favorite for awhile now so thought I'd share.

Brew some Decaf herbal tea. My favorite is Lemon Zinger although I've used Red Zinger and I have peach in the cabinet that I haven't tried yet. Then sweeten it with no sugar added apple juice. My goal was not to go over 50% juice but I didn't need that much juice. Its very good! Enjoy.

I understand- crytsal light and sugar free koolaid got old really fast. I did something similar to what you did lol. I made a gallon of Decaf green tea and added mango tea to it. It didn't last very long b/c my pregnant sister drunk most of it up. I think I will make some today :)

Sounds amazing. Where do you get the Lemon Zinger and Red Zinger from?

Right now my favorite beverage is the Skinny vanilla Latte at Starbucks!! 90 Calories for the Tall - and the tall is perfect sizing for me. I don't really drink a lot of full strength coffee... so this has me buzzing... lol

I usually only have half caff in the am's but sometimes a nice sweet treat is in order. :)

You can get the lemon and red zinger herbal teas at regular grocery stores in the tea section. The brand I use and see the most of is Bigelow.

Diva, I haven't ventured into Starbucks yet because I brought my caffeine addiction before surgery and I don't want to be hooked again (at least not yet)

I have never really been a tea fan before but that sounds very yummy. I have recently discovered Powerade zero.. no carbs, no cals and it tastes pretty good! Plus it's a sports drink so it has electrolytes and some Vitamins in it.

I love the grape poweraid zero, the Tropicana 50/50 juices, fresh brewed green iced tea mixed with a powdered mix such as pomegrante and berry or tropical mango flavors sweetened with splenda :-)

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
