Stalls are no fun, but Loosing Pants Sizes is always a PLUS!!

Recommended Posts

So I will be 5 months out on the 21st. I am down 70lbs from the day of surgery and at another stall.. 2nd one in the past 2 months.. I know they happen, and I know the scale will move again, I just wish it would start moving NOW!! I am able to eat more then I was a month ago "way more" However I am still getting in around 900-1000 calories a day. I still start with my meat first and if I am able to eat it all with out my full signal I move on to my greens. Usually after a couple of bites I am finished.. Where as a month ago I was barely able to get down 1/4 of a chicken breast.. I did have complications "leak, pneumonia, etc." and that did put me behind where I should have been at. So maybe eating as much as I'm eating now is normal who knows.. I just know this stall thing stinks!!! Loosing another pants size is a plus!! I just want to see the sale move again!!

Yay for lower pants sizes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am in a bit of a reverse situation - my weight has gone down OK, but my pants sizes are not moving as quickly. I think my skin is still confused about that has happened over the last couple of months. :-)

You must be looking fab in your smaller pants!!

A VERY GREAT thing is moving an entire pants size out of your closet, giving it away, and knowing I will never be there again! Thrilling, I say!

I totally understand how you feel... since Jan I have lost 11lb... in 5mths. I have many weeks of nothing, drop 4-5lb... then nothing for several weeks later. I don't change anything and I stick to what my surgeon has told me to. Frustration doesn't come near it does it? But in that time -well, more recently, say the last 4weeks - despite very slow weight loss I have gone down a trouser size! This has kept me sane!

I ain't complaining now, did that and it got me nowhere,.. now I just thank God that I am not gaining and enjoying my success to date - just over 10mths out - I am just thankful that I am getting healthy and fit. My body will do what it pleases...lol!! =]

Good luck with your stall... just keep doing what you are doing.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
