So, I just got my phone call telling me my surgery time for Monday!! I have to be at the hospital at 11:30!!

I was hoping to have an earlier time, but I guess I should be thankful I don't have to wait til 4:00. LOL

I don't know if I am weird or something is wrong with me, but I really do not feel anxious or nervous at all. It just kinda doesn't seem real to me. Kinda like I am in denial? I don't know, maybe by Sunday I will feel something, but for now, it is just another Friday night!

Pray for me that I will come out o.k. without complications. I wish all of you the best!!

I never got nervous either. NEVER. I think I'd worked through all of that just waiting for the surgery date! Best of luck to you!

My surgery on Monday is at 1145am. It's nice because it's an hour drive away and I just can't wake up early anymore (with apnea).

Good luck!

I know exactly what you mean. My surgery is this Thursday. I really thought I would be more nervous that I am. I feel pretty calm, like this is happening to someone else. I'm with you, I guess I will feel more the night before. Best of luck to you in a successful journey!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
