I hit 230 this a.m. I haven't been down at low for 15 years. I have lost 52 lbs and I'm down 78 lbs from my high 2 years ago. Yesterday I was able to ride all the amusement park rides with my 14 year old son. It felt really good. Julie

LapBandit! Congratulations on your success!! That is so inspiring to me since I started the journey in January. I can't wait for my one year follow up! I hit the 70's this week and Julie I can relate. I don't know the last time I was at this weight and the fact that I'm 3 pounds away from 50. Just a few months ago I couldn't even manage to lose 5 pounds.

Congrats to everyone! On to our next challenge starting on the 17th! :peace:

The pictures are worth a thousand words and you look wonderful, Lapbandit. Congratulations to all the losers who just happen to be the most deserving winners.

On a personal note, my sister is doing better. They drained an abscess today from her abdomen and she's expected to be able to come home on Sunday. Who says Friday the 13th is unlucky?

Okay, so is it possible to lose 3 pounds by the end of this challenge? If I don't make it, at least I came really close, right? LOL!!

Now in all seriousness, my weight loss has slowed down quite a bit and I haven't changed my eating or exercise habits. Any ideas on how to jump start the process?

Yes, Libra...mix it up...quite a bit. Do some different exercises, eat some different foods. That usually helps my body wake up when it starts to slack off. Especially the exercise...try working out on opposite days than you usually do and try to mix in something different. For example...instead of just walking at the same speed on my treamill I will sometimes do an interval training session. Like, go as fast as you can for a few minutes then slow it back to normal for awhile but put the incline up as far as you can handle. Little things like that help wake up new muscle which will get your metabolism fired up again. Plus, sometimes when I think about it I realize I eat basically the same stuff each week so try some new foods so that your body gets some different nutrients. This is the best thing I can do when I feel a slow-down happening. It wakes up my body and my brain because I get out of my rut! Good luck!

Thanks for the welcome ladies. You are all doing so well! I've currently hit a plateau, but my measurements are dropping again! I was able to put on a pair of jeans I haven't worn in over 3 years. I have my second fill today, and I'm ready to follow in your steps all the way into Twoterville and on down to Onederland! :)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
