Super frustrated!!

May I chime in with avocado as a health (and delicious) fat? really Im chiming in for me... it sounds so good I might just have to go get some today...

Bleh! LOL I haaate avocado! My husband will stand in the kitchen and eat them right out of the skin with a fork.

I haven't tried salmon yet but I may over the weekend just to see. I know the tuna from last week settled well with me as did the flounder from this past weekend. I've never been a huge seafood person but I may just have to start experimenting.

Faith, I'm trying like heck to get the calories up there. I think I'm going to have to make it a real point to just do it. It just seems like SO much food. My brain is gawking at "normal portions" compared to my tiny bits. Man this would be so much easier if I wasn't on purees. There's just not much that's.... appetizing AND covers all the major requirements that can be pureed.

Im glad to hear that I am not the only one frustrated. I was sleeved 2/15/11 dropped 23 pounds in two weeks and haven't lost anything since. I am doing everything Im supposed to do. The scale is not moving, if it does it moves up. It is very frustrating when you are only eating 3/4 oz at every meal. I only drink Water. I haven't gotten the okay to exercise and it has been too cold to start walking.

I did read that the 3 - 5 week mark is very tough to loose weight, but that is not what you want to hear after going through what we went through.

Ok so I was sleeved 1/25. I haven't lost any weight in about 2.5 almost 3 weeks now!! It's driving me nuts because I know I'm doing exactly what I'm supposed to be doing. I'm tracking everything. I'm getting plenty of Protein.. my carbs (except for like 1 day?) have been under 50...I'm getting as many calories as I can stomach (I'm averaging 600-700... my fat is WAY low. I'm exercising too. I don't know what else to do. It's frustrating as all hell and I feel like "ok is this IT?? Did I just amputate part of my body for nothing??" I mean it's always been hard for me to continue on the right path w/o some sort of... positive anything. That's why I was never able to stick w/ diets in the past. The only thing keeping me sticking to this is knowing that if I don't I'm going to eff up my stomach. I mean... I've even started smoking again it's that bad. I feel terrible about it. Thanks for letting me whine. I just thought that if I were able to continue doing what I'm supposed to be doing that something would happen..anything.

I have had to just let go and let it do its own thing...I still weight every day, and have gotten over disappointment. After 4 weeks of stall, It looks like I have lost 1/2 pound... I never thought I could be so happy! Still heading in the right direction! Look and feel better....

Reread Diva's suggestions. I did and I was able to kick that stall loose. I've been paying attention to getting good fats in and trying to get my calories up. Now I'm trying to pay attention to getting Fiber in and I'm trying like mad to get my Water up too.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
