Questions about water and fluids.

Recommended Posts

I have been trying to push the fluids. It is harder for me now that I am eating more solid foods. I have been getting in plenty of fluids but it is not straight Water. I add things like hot tea (no sugar), crystal light, life water, etc. Does this count as my water intake? Does the 64 oz. goal I am trying to reach daily mean only plain water?

I am not as good of a water drinker as I should be. Also, right now, I have reached a stall on my weight loss. I know that is part of this journey, but was wondering if my drinking habits are helping me stall. Can anyone shed light on this?

My guidelines say that anything non-carbonated with no sugar counts as Clear Liquids. That includes Water, Decaf coffee and tea, crystal light, sugar free Jello, chicken, beef and vegetable broth. Just remember that some clear liquids do have calories, so take a look at where you might be adding unnecessary calories. Whenever I hit a stall, I make sure to up my fluids and increase my Protein and I can usually get through it. Good luck to you.

I have never been a plain Water drinker. I used things like Real lemon packets in my water, I found Tazo Tea herbal blends to die for and my new fav is Snapple diet raspberry tea!

Girl I think if any one of us would be straight Water people we would all die...lol Any way i know that all different doctor are different but anything that is flavored has no calories or sugar counts towards water intake..Decaf tea or coffee counts as water also..When I got out of surgery The taste of water just wasn't the same. Now I drink water, cystal light, sobe lifewater, vitamen water anything that doesn't contain calories or sugar.. I kinda mix and match and it is effortless to get in my water now

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
