I was wondering about sizes post op

Recommended Posts

I must be a bit more "hippy" than the rest of the ladies who posted above. Lol. I'm 165 right now and am in size 14's (which are starting to get loose). But I'm wearing size medium shirts, so I'm not complaining! I remember the last time I was at 150 and I wore 10's or 12's. But, as I mentioned, I have lots of booty and hips, so I tend to be a bit larger in the numbers when it comes to jeans. Hope that helps for the curvier girls out there! :)

Thank you! I am rather curvy, I remember being a size 12 the last time I was 150lbs. I was wondering if sizes had changed that much in 5 years. lol.

Hi there,

I'm 5'3" as well, and right now i'm 160 and in a size 10. they are comfy all over, but i had twins 4 years ago so have a bit of extra skin in the tummy. I also lost my entire butt, there is absolutely nothing left back there, it is scary! my ultimate goal is to have a Normal BMI which is a range of 130 - 140 i think so that is the plan for now! Not really caring about clothing size, just health right now! haven't gone clothes shopping since the girls were born, my mom just picks up things for me that she thinks i'll like! I told her this morning to buy nothing else until i get to my goal! they we really SHOP!!!!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
