I started walking the 2nd day after surgery. I started elliptical and walk/run 1 month after surgery and classes the 2nd month... My 3rd month I plan to start to add ab work to my routine.

Wondering how many calories everyone eat daily. I have my calories set at 800 calories daily but I never reach it.

OMG I am a Grazer.... I think. I can eat all day. I am 5 weeks post op. I will eat and then feel full and about an hour later be hunger again. Literally my tummy feels empty. Help!!!!!!!

Perhaps you have acid. I felt that way early on and realized it was acid. Just tonight I was having my snack. I thought I was so hungry, then I realized that I had not taken my Prevacid. Now I feel the restriction and have no hunger. Now that the pill is working i feel satiated.

Hugs- hang in there. Let us know how things are going.

SweetCryss (hope I spelled correctly)

Perhaps you are having acid. I felt ravenous just tonight until I realized I had not had my Prevacid yet. It was later than I usually take it. Now I feel fine. Are you on anything for acid prevention?

Please Forgive the Repeats!

I had trouble posting, got two error messages. On the third try it went through.... Along with the two previous messages. :-) I was getting tired, but was determined to try to help, so I shortened my MSG. Blessings to all!

Hi, I have a question for post - op I'm having my surgery on 7/3/14 and I'm due to start my summer session in college. Do anyone think that would be a bad idea. I have heard of people going back to work in a week. I figured I took two weeks off work and my class is only 2 days a week so I can recuperate the rest of the time I'm not at work. A couple of family members been saying I'm doing to much and now I'm second guessing myself please give me an advise you can thanks

You will be totally fine. I had surgery on Wednesday and was in class Saturday. Just remember to get up and walk around if needed. Sitting up was annoying to me.

Thank you so much for the encouragement. I'm so nervous about getting back to class. My date is fast approaching and I'm a nervous wreck.

in my opinion, you do it cold turkey. The first 3 days are rough with the 1st day being the worst. I'm day 11 no cheats so far and I'm fine. How many days do you have to do it?

I'm doing the preop phase for 2 week... Day One was yesterday; it wasn't bad.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
