How many fills and cc amount..to hit your sweet spot?

Recommended Posts

I was banded April 4, 2006, and have had 3 fills that total 1.6 cc. I have pretty good restriction but wanted to know how fills and cc's did it take for you to hit your sweet spot? Thank you

For me, it was my third fill that got me to where I want to be. I have the VG band, which was loaded with 4cc's in surgery. 7 weeks post-op, I got my first fill, which brought me to 6.2 cc's. I noticed literally no difference, so I went back in week 8 and they took me to 7.6. In a panic, as my appetite still wasn't supressed, I went back on week 9. They filled me while drinking Water until it wouldn't go down, then backed out a little. I'm not at 10.0 cc's and it's PERFECT. I've lost 12 lbs in 10 days and looking to ride the wave as long as possible (fully aware that my body won't keep up that rate of weightloss).

My 1st fill I received 1cc, 2nd fill .3cc, and 3rd fill .3cc and I feel great hardly ever hungry so I guess that may be might sweet spot.

I got my first fill (1 cc in a 4 cc band) 8 weeks post-op and it did nothing. I am going in on Wed for fill #2 and am hoping this one does the trick.

I'm at 1.7ml in a 4ml band and I'd say far from what you'd call a "sweet spot" but I'm really not wanting any more right now. I enjoy the amount of restriction it gives me in that I can still eat anything. But I'm not losing fast or regularly, I have to decide if I can "diet" and keep it up or whether I have to face more restriction. Not sure.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
