Sleever's Rendezvous...?

Recommended Posts

If you guys are planning a summer get together weather is going to be the deciding factor. The south is miserable in the summer and so is the east coast in my opinion. Since the consensus is to meet up centrally I think colorado is a good option. The springs has some fun things to do and the garden of the gods is breathtaking plus you could challenge yourself to a hike up pikes peak. There is also an airport so you wouldn't have to drive in from Denver but it isn't that far of a drive anyhow.B)

Maybe more regional get togethers would be best. For example Portland, OR; Lasvegas,NV; Colorado Springs,CO; New Orleans,LA; Nashville, TN; Orlando, FL; and somewhere in New England like New York City or Boston :rolleyes:

Even though I'm a newbie I would LOVE to do this but I wont even be sleeved until June at the earliest so I'm guessing that having a fat chick aweighing you down is going to be counterproductive. :( That being said, I'm in WV and Allegiant Air has some SUPER CHEAP flights to Ft. Lauderdale. Perhaps some of the rest of you could go that route and then rent a car together. It might make for an extra few hours at the airport but it could end up saving ton$ in the long run. Good luck guys and put me on next year's guest list for sure!

Yeah this sounds like so much fun!! Also, and someone may have already mentioned this, but Cruises are fun and really seem reasonably priced if you look for deals. I would also absolutely LOVE to do this and get to meet everyone, but it's taking every penny I got to pay for surgery this yr. Maybe next time? We should totally make it an annual thing!!! :)

I would love to meet everyone, but I can't afford Florida right now. I would love to have one in Texas because it is a little more central. I was thinking San Antonio. There is lots to do and we could just pick a weekend to go. As long as you stayed in a hotel on or close to the Riverwalk we could all meet up. Any thoughts???

I vote for Las Vegas. Lots to do, and awesome hotels.Summer rates aren't too bad, either. Remember, it's a dry heat!

Most places are cool with me.

Floria Keys would me my first vote, Las Vegas is number two, and New Orleans is running third.

This is a wild idea - A CRUISE (just a thought).

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
