They took me off my pain pump tpday after clearing the upper GI and I was doing real well till tonight when phlem got stuck in my throat and while coughing it feels like I blew my diaphram out and they had to call the doc and get my pains increased. I also had a real bad nurse today. Any ideas on the diaphram pain?

I had really bad pain going from my breast bone shooting directly into my back. It was so painful meds didn’t touch it. My doc can in and said it may be due to him nicking my pancreas, but it went away by the next morning.

What I did to stop my pain was to lay on my stomach (which was suggested by my nurse), and I walked around the hospital and try to relax. I hope they are giving you something for your pain. I wish you luck, I know how you feel, I’m just 5 weeks out so its fresh.

Thanks VSgirl. They ended up giving me more of the iv medicine til the next morning, I heard 2 possible things, an esphosigial spasm or a diaphram spasm. Either way it is gone and I am home!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
